Het 11de Congres van de Association des Cercles francophones d’histoire et d’archéologie de Belgique zal in Doornik plaatsvinden van donderdag 20 augustus tot en met zondag 23 augustus 2020. In autumn 2020, the Bibliothèque Mazarine and the Cultura Fonds, in collaboration with the Plantin Moretus Museum (Antwerp), will celebrate the 500th anniversary of Christophe Plantin's birth (circa 1520-1589) with an international conference and an exhibition.

The conference will present new research on the activities and production of the Officina Plantiniana, as well as on contemporary workshops, paying particular attention to subjects related to typographical design, mise en page and illustration.

De Gulden Passer wil dat lezers beter toegang krijgen tot de oudere jaargangen. Om die reden doet De Gulden Passer mee aan een pilootproject van de Digitale Bibliotheek voor de Nederlandse Letteren (DBNL) dat als doel heeft om de beschikbaarheid van Vlaams materiaal in de DBNL te vergroten.

Next week, on Friday 12 July, the Vlaamse Werkgroep Boekgeschiedenis organises a 'Zomeratelier'. It starts at 15.30h and will end at about 17h. The venue is the Georges Eekhoudkabinet of the Hendrik Conscience Heritage Library (Hendrik Conscienceplein 4, 2000 Antwerp).

In oktober 2019 zal het interdisciplinaire onderzoeksproject "Innovation through Education: Pioneering Change in Law and Theology in Louvain’s Golden Age" worden gelanceerd.
